Ebenezer Medical Outreach Inc. opened their dental clinic in 2005 as a potential solution to affordable dental care in the Fairfield community. Dental patient, Sabrenna J. Coleman, visited EMO’s oral healthcare clinic recently. Even though, Coleman has sat many times in EMO’s dental chair, this time she wanted to acknowledge the continuous care she has received through Ebenezer Medical Outreach’s dentistry services.
Coleman states, “I have been coming to Ebenezer Medical Outreach for years, I wanted to take the time and say ‘thank you’ for their services and many referrals. I feel like I am receiving the best medical and dental care possible.”
The West Virginia Older Adult/Senior Oral Health Surveillance states, “The importance of oral health for older adults cannot be overstated. It is an essential part of healthy aging and disease prevention. Oral health awareness, education and access to services — especially for low-income seniors — is greatly needed. Seniors nationwide lack access to dental care.”
This care and compassion are exactly what Sabrenna J. Coleman and many others have found at Ebenezer Medical Outreach Inc’s dental unit. Coleman explains, “Through their dental services, I have seen numerous other appointments and lots of work on my mouth. Because of Ebenezer, I didn’t fall through the cracks, especially being a black woman. I will be forever grateful for all their services.”
“When I first came to Ebenezer, I was an addict. I have been clean and sober for 12 years, but without this service and the Lord Jesus Christ, I don’t know where I would be,” Coleman continued.
Ebenezer Medical Outreach Inc. began through their belief how complete overall healthcare is a human right. Today, the non-profit clinic witnesses their goal as a reality.
